August 2017

I have arrived in State College, PA and couldn't be more excited about the opportunities here at Penn State.

I have an announcement up for a PhD position looking at the ecology of mange mites on black bears in the state. I will also be looking for a post-doc and research technician in the Spring. Moving forward there may be an opening for a MS student working on entomopathogenic fungi and house flies.

The lab is a work in progress. We have three rooms in the Chemical Ecology Laboratory and a "field lab" space (basically a new shed) that will be located here as well. We will have room for rearing flies, parasitoids, and housing ticks.

It is going to take many months to get my footing here, but we should be ready to kick of the spring with our first field season. Stay tuned to hear about the new research coming out of the areawide project this fall.
